Does anyone care?

posted Feb 28, 2016 18:05:23 by LettingGo
With the presidential election close on the horizon, many people start to dive into politics. I know a lot of people who fail to vote in their local elections but then make a big deal about who is going to be president. After watching some of the debates I can't help but laugh at the drama. Just seems like a popularity contest, more so on the republican side because at least the democratic debates include many controversial policies. Does anyone truly care or have an opinion?

I'm voting for Trump as a protest vote against any politician. I don't know what his policies are, nor do I think I need to. He will appoint advisers that he knows are qualified for a particular post, he will take their advisement's under consideration and act in the best financial interest of America.

In other words, he will run the country like a business.

Let this monkey go. Let the senses go. Let desires go. Let conflicts go. Let ideas go. Let the fiction of life and death go. Just remain in the center, watching. And then forget that you are there.

We had all better care what's going on in politics or we will find this country worse off than before. I agree with you Ryan. Trump will run the country like a business and surround himself with people that now how to get things done. I think he's the first breath of fresh air we have had since Reagan. As an aside. If one chooses not to vote, then he/she has just cast a vote for the "other" side. Go vote and let all voices be heard.

I've called other elections a three-ring circus, but nothing compares to this. I honestly don't know who I'm going to vote for. I like John Kasich, but he isn't getting enough attention to have a snowball's chance. Hillary and Bernie scare the bejesus out of me, but Trump does, too. I'm pretty certain that we'll be making our choice between Hillary and Trump, though, so get ready for that.

Now that Trump and Hillary are the candidates running in November, I will choose Trump. It's not that I'm all fired enthused about him, but Hillary as president just makes me feel like I would be voting for Al Capone.

I don't know who I am voting for, but I know it will not be Clinton. I am so done with political dynasties. These families with multiple members in office, fleecing off the public...we need term limits and fresh blood!
