How many hours do you spend online?

posted Feb 28, 2016 11:55:18 by RayOliver
Personally, I do many activities online which add up to occupy a lot of my time. These activities include online freelance work, listening to music, watching TV shows, reading and posting on forums, streaming sports, among others. Occasionally I like to do some exercise to break out of the sedentary lifestyle but generally, I spend about 7 hours online per day; how about you?

I would say 5 hours. What I do is business, side jobs, but since they do not pay the majority of the bills, I cannot really justify spending more than 5 hours. And that is on a busy day.

I spend far too much time online, but I work from home and sitting at the computer doing research takes up most of my time. When it comes time to look up something for entertainment purposes, I never feel like doing it because I just want to get away from the internet.

I spend 4 hours, tops. This is an average because some days I don't spend any time on it at all. But when you have bills to pay and you have the option of making money in your pajama's......you take it.
Let this monkey go. Let the senses go. Let desires go. Let conflicts go. Let ideas go. Let the fiction of life and death go. Just remain in the center, watching. And then forget that you are there.

I cannot exactly know the average amount because it differs drastically from day to day. I try not to spend more than a half hour at a time because staring at a screen is very hypnotizing. I try to only do business work and leave my entertainment away from the computer but sometimes YouTube pulls me in!

LettingGo, that is very healthy if you can limit yourself from staring too much at computer or laptop! I am way too dependent (or addicted) to computer and internet that it feels empty if I spend too much time without it. You can technically find me online when I am not working or sleeping, even though I may not always available at live messengers. Roughly it means 10 hours of online activities everyday. I do many things from browsing favorite articles, watching TV dramas, listening to music, laughing at silly YouTube videos, working on assignments, playing games, reading comics, posting on forums, browsing websites, and so on. I feel confused when I have nothing to do at internet because usually I never run out of things to do online.

I don't have any idea how many hours I spend over-all online. I am a full time caregiver for my wife.
Normally I am not on the computer for long periods at a time day and night but probably several hours
if it was all added up. My activity is varied on the computer and most is reading news, I do all our med buying online, I try to keep up with all the pages I have started over time & the web is a blessing to me. My ham radio gear is in the basement and when one of the kids are here they help me get on the air for short periods of time while they keep an eye on their Mom. They are both quite busy with their own lives but they are a lot of help here. I don't know how folks got along before the cyber age existed.
