Do you exercise?

posted Mar 02, 2016 19:18:56 by RayOliver
I don't consider myself a fitness enthusiast however I enjoy working out a few times every week. In addition to clearing my mind and all the other health benefits, exercise gives me a break from a very static lifestyle mostly spent on my computer. I would say I work out 3 or 4 times per week, for about 30-40 minutes per session.

I don't consider to be a workout buff either. The best way to build a healthy body is to have a healthy mind first. A lot of people struggle because they are trying so hard and when they don't see results, it decimates them. But life is not a journey where the end is the point, like in music or dancing. The journey is the point itself so if you don't like working out then maybe you shouldn't.

I have to make myself go to an exercise class 3 times a week. I know it's good for me and once I'm there all is well. The people in the class have built such a camaraderie that it's almost like family and we all have such a good time together. I'll continue to make myself go to feel better and have a few laughs.

I prefer to walk outdoors for exercise. Just being able to enjoy the scenery or the fresh air seems to make the exercise less of a chore. Not to mention, outdoor people you run into are usually very friendly.

During the winter months I work out some on a tread mill and have other stuff here in the house as well. I am not a young guy and probably should not face the cold wind and weather. I also prefer outside exercise but I only do that when it is warmer.

I do morning walks and yard work. Those 2 activities constitute workouts for me. They are exercise, they keep me fit and they keep my heart pumping in a good way.

I do work out on a regular basis (three to six days a week). I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of it, but I do it to keep my body flexible and in motion.

Eric Marks, I would love to live in such friendly neighborhood. Unfortunately the place where I'm staying now is known to have quite high crime rate, especially at evenings. It is sad because I like to walk around as exercise too.

I used to go to fitness center three times a week, around an hour per session. I had to stop because I moved to another city and there is no such place here. I try to walk around as much as I can, but the weather is not very supportive lately. It is either too hot that you may burn if you stay out too long or it rains. How much I miss having a cheap, nearby fitness center!

I live near a beautiful area to hike, so that is my chosen form of exercise. The trails near my home actually become part of the Appalachian Trail, so I hike the "AT" all the time. I love being out in nature. It is the best mental health medicine out there.

I don't really have time to work out during the week, but I do like taking my bike out on weekends when the weather is nice and warm.

I forget about riding a bicycle! It is one of my favorite exercise methods. Back at my hometown, the air is still pretty clean and the weather is not very hot. Morning and afternoon become perfect time to take out your bicycle and have a ride around. I love to do it while listening to favorite music. Combined with the cool wind and beautiful scenery, exercise has never been so much fun! I still do it every time I visit hometown.
