I saw my first purple martin today

It is always a sign spring is not far off. They usually migrate into the Ohio valley around the middle of March. I checked the weather forecast for the next 10 days and we have spring like weather in the forcast. I love it!! Time for the martin houses to get a good cleaning.

Do you have a bird bath? I love watching those little critters splash around in those.

You gotta love springtime though, there is a freshness to it beyond compare.

Let this monkey go. Let the senses go. Let desires go. Let conflicts go. Let ideas go. Let the fiction of life and death go. Just remain in the center, watching. And then forget that you are there.

Here in the South it's the robins we look for. When you see them pulling worms up out of your yard it's a sure sign that spring is not far off. If it weren't for all the pollen spring would be the perfect season. Don't you think?
