The Revenant

posted Mar 09, 2016 00:11:59 by Jordan G
So I recently watched the movie The Revenant, with Leonardo DiCaprio. It was one of those movies that you can call an "epic" film. It is also one of those movies that does not give you the "feel goods" when you leave the theater. I will say, the scene where he is mauled by a grizzly bear is one of the most realistic scenes of an animal attack that I have ever experienced. Has anyone else seen this movie? What did you think?

I have not seen it yet, but reading your opinion makes me feel like I should not see it either. I am not really a fan of such "epic" film types. I read the summary at Wikipedia and I see that the plot is somehow gloomy. I prefer happier stories, mainly involving romance. My parents had seen the film though and it was exactly their type; they were really excited to watch it. They said Leonardo DiCaprio truly deserved the Oscar award for his amazing performance there.

I also haven't watched it yet but it is definitely on my list of movies to watch in the near future. Leonardo DiCaprio is such a great actor and I am not surprised to hear the film being described as epic.
