World sunlight map

posted Mar 09, 2016 05:23:29 by Zeke.Carr
Watch the sun rise and set all over the world on this real time, computer-generated illustration of the earth's patterns of sunlight and darkness...
I first played with this gadget as a computer screen "background". However, it is a bit busy and I didn't like the dark parts because it made dark text difficult to read.
This is a fun "toy".

This would make it interesting to watch the part of Alaska that stays relatively dark most of the day at a certain part of the year.

I'm going to find a way to save this one, thank you.
Let this monkey go. Let the senses go. Let desires go. Let conflicts go. Let ideas go. Let the fiction of life and death go. Just remain in the center, watching. And then forget that you are there.

That is really cool, I will definitely try saving it too. I am currently watching darkness approach my country which is very interesting and it also seems to be very accurate.

How cool is this? I'm going to send it to a couple of science teachers I know. The students would love it and learn without realizing they were learning. That's always a good thing. Thanks for sharing.
