Spring cleaning

posted Mar 11, 2016 17:30:15 by Dandelion
Have you started your spring cleaning yet? My husband is doing a few chores outside today and I just finished a project in the house. I don't necessarily enjoy the work of it, but I love it when it's all done and everything is fresh and ready to go for summer.

I just spent a decent chunk of the afternoon messing with a new Anderson storm door that I bought back in the fall and never installed. Truth be told, I hate doing projects like this, but when I am finished, I feel a great sense of pride about it.

I have started outside with the house and yard. That is my domain and the little lady does the inside. I always start by inspecting the roof to make sure it's still in good shape.

It's not exactly spring cleaning for me, but I spent my last weekend cleaning up my room. I changed the bed sheets, cleaned up my desk, re-organized things on my cupboard and shelves. It always surprises me how fun cleaning can be, plus the bonus finding things you thought you lost. I usually need specific reason to start cleaning, but it turns out pretty fun even when I did it because I didn't know what else to do at that time.

It figures the week I decide to start spring cleaning we get a cold front moving through that caused the weather to be freezing! I don't know about all of you but when I spring clean, I open all the windows, air out all the blankets and rugs, and just freshen up the whole house. I hope it warms up here soon so I can put my plan into action!
