If You Had A Time Machine

posted Mar 12, 2016 19:57:51 by RyanScotts
If you had one, would you to the future or the past? I would want to go 50 years into the future just to see what the state of affairs here in the United States would be.
Let this monkey go. Let the senses go. Let desires go. Let conflicts go. Let ideas go. Let the fiction of life and death go. Just remain in the center, watching. And then forget that you are there.

If I had a time machine I would love to go back in history, either during World War II or just after the war. I wouldn't mind going farther back in time, but I am just weird enough that I could see myself getting burned at the stake for being a witch or something.

I would prefer to go to the past and made different choices on chances I missed. I often think about how different my life would be if I were braver in taking chances despite the risks. For example, I gave up on joining my university's choir group due to classes, missing the chance to perform and join national or international competitions. I wish I had taken different major at university as well. I am not as curious about the future; I prefer to just let it flow and live the moment.

If I had a time machine I would go way back in the past (back when dinosaurs still roamed) for a moment just to see how they lived and how different the world was.

I would go back to the past to the times of the ancient civilizations, particularly Ancient Egypt. I would like to solve the puzzle of reading hieroglyphs; this would provide us with a vast source of knowledge. This endeavor depends on the stability of the time machine, of course; hopefully, I don't become stuck there indefinitely.

I also would like to revisit my past, like RedSeol, to just change a few things to see if my life would have turned out differently. I think all of us wish we had made the alternate decisions we passed on to choose the ones that we did. For instance, I know my life would have been completely different if I opted to go on to college right after high school instead of joining the military.

If I had a time machine I would love to go back to the Revolutionary War era and experience the fight for independence first hand! Can you tell I am a huge fan of the show Turn?

I would go to the past if I had a time machine. The future is such a mystery and it seems as though you would be so concerned with what you saw of what your life would become in the future or how society would act in the future, that you would constantly be in a state of worry. By going to the past, you can reanalyze not just your own mistakes, but mistakes we have made as a country even to better learn from them.
