posted Mar 16, 2016 20:13:58 by Zeke.Carr
Aki, JA1NLX, will once again be active as 3D2YA from Mana Island
(OC-121) sometime in October or November. He was there in 2008
and 2009.

Activity will be on 40-10 meters using CW (only during the first half of his operation), SSB and the Digital modes.

Suggested frequencies are:
CW - 7015, 10115, 14040, 18085, 21040, 24905 and 28040 kHz
SSB - 14260, 18125, 21260, 24950 and 28460 kHz

His equipment will be an IC-7000 w/100W into a Bravo 5 1/2 wave vertical Dipole and HFp Vertical.

QSL via JA1NLX, direct w/SASE (2 USDs) or OQRS
(Direct [3] or Bureau). Do not send IRCs. Do not send your QSL via
the Bureau (not a JARL member). He will send you QSL via the Bureau from GlobalQSL only if you request OQRS Bureau.

LoTW and Online Log will be available when he returns home -- unless he has a good internet connection on the island.

Daily updates may be uploaded on the following Blog page, if internet is available on the island: http://ja1nlx-aki.blogspot.jp

I really wish I understood a lot of what this means because it sounds pretty darn cool. Seeing these posts really sparks an interest to get more involved in ham radio and learn more about it.
