Natural remedies for cough/cold

posted Apr 27, 2016 19:24:41 by RayOliver
I always try to stay away from pharmaceuticals unless it is necessary; I would rather just wait it out or use natural herbs. What natural remedies have worked for you when it comes to dealing with a cough or cold?

First of all I am not your doctor so this is not professional advice.
As you know drugs should be the last resort since they are not a natural way to go and could open yet another "can of worms".
I have tried some of the following natural ways to deal with a cold or congestion issue.
Check the following schemes which can be found at:
http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/8-tips-to-treat-colds-and-flu-the-natural-way
Hope it works and you get better soon.
Natural herbs are also drugs!

At the first sign of a cold, I usually grab a large dose of garlic oil and it does help. I have also heard that oregano oil is fantastic for basic illnesses, but I have yet to try it myself.

Whenever I have a cold or at least start to feel that it's coming, I drink a lot of ginger and lemon with honey. It always helps me.

When I feel like something is coming on, I grab oregano oil capsules. Oregano oil has so many interesting health benefits. For a cough, I make my own elderberry syrup which helps tremendously.

I've never used oregano oil to keep me healthy; that's an interesting tips. I usually go for ginger extract and honey, especially on days when I'm insanely busy and I can't eat or rest properly. Drinking them with warm water also helps me recover quickly.
