Who is Your Favorite Author?

posted Jun 22, 2016 17:26:56 by Fitzwilly
Who is your favorite author? Mine is J.D. Salinger for The Catcher in the Rye. It was originally written for adults but has come to be popular among adolescents and teens for its anti-establishment theme. The author himself was quite a character. He was very introverted and a recluse. He would have been truly overwhelmed by Today's writer's world.

My favorite author is Stephen King. I love how he writes so many different genres, not just horror. In fact, right now I'm reading "11/22/63" by him. I watched the show on Hulu a few months ago and now I'm going to compare the book to it. That's one of my favorite things to do.

I have so many favorite authors in many different genres. I love Anne Rice, JR Ward, Dan Brown, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwall, Charliane Harris, George R. R. Martin....again, too many to list here! I typically enjoy reading paranormal romance, but I also like fantasy, forensic thrillers, and horror. I am also a big fan of self-help books. I love "working" on myself.

My favorite author is John Steinbeck. The best book he ever wrote was East of Eden. It is so full of literary genius and a story that any reader would cling to!
